The list of Jamaican artistes for the main concert of Fun in the Son was phenomenal.

They included Kevin Downswell, Judith Gayle, Prodigal Son, Carlene Davis, Papa San, and the United States-born Tye Tribbett (the headline act).

The entertainers made the ninth staging of the gospel extravaganza at the Mona campus of the University of the West Indies Bowl something to remember.

Ainsworth Morris, attending his third Fun in the Son, summed up Tribbet's performance in a word - "Incredible". "Tye Tribbett gave an awesome ministry," said Morris, about the entertainer who closed the show.

Morris was not kidding when he described Tribett's ministry.

It's also where he met his wife, Wendy, who is originally from the island. "So many there have yet to hear the Good News. This festival is an effective way for Christians to invite their friends to come and hear about Jesus Christ."
